About The Programme

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Chinese Studies

This programme produces graduates who have a comprehensive knowledge of Chinese and local literature, language, history, culture and thoughts, besides a variety of theories related to Chinese Studies, and most of all, possess humane care and cultural attainment.

Three majors developed to be specialized through the programme, namely the traditional Academic Chinese, and the newly developed majors, Creative Chinese, and Applied Chinese which tend to cultivate local academic talents, creative writers, and local talents of the industries. With their theoretical knowledge enhanced, trained and practiced, upon graduation, students are able to conduct academic studies which will facilitate their future research or teaching career; to critique, appreciate and produce creative literary works; and to express, reasoning and organizing, which will facilitate their future career that related to culture, education, media and publication.
